Congratulations to Dr. @yanhuihu1110, the first student to graduate from my lab! He had 3.5 hours of challenging discussion thanks to Michael Vanner and Dave Phillips, defending his thesis "Rotational Optomechanics".
Today I was visited by the famous physics seagull at the Strand Building. What an honour.

Maxwell Society away weekend

The Quantum Workshop organized the King’s College London Physics Society’s quantum themed away weekend. We had the whole team representing!

London Light Launch

Quantum James is part of London Light, an interdisciplinary network studying the applications of light. The Quantum Workshop was present and correct at their launch event, which also celebrated the International Day of Light!

European Researcher’s Night

Although the venue was somewhat like a nightmarishly large school from the 60s, TQW thoroughly enjoyed being at European Researcher’s Night in Vienna. Many deep chats, and many deep thanks to Ugur and Lana for their assistance.
